For this page of my art journal we were supposed to create some sort of texture on it, and maybe have a drawing or picture of some sort on it as well if we wanted. I decided to paint a picture of an elephant with painting among him, and how I created the texture was by using a big-bristled brush. The brush created a rough feeling on the page, which gave it that mixed medium.

This was one of the first projects we did my junior year of high school. All of the art 3 classes painted puzzle tiles, and connected them together to complete the puzzle. On my piece, I painted a cartoon-like image of Tootie, and the quote says, “What I love most about my home is… who I share it with.”

This is my December calendar, and on the left, I drew with a paint pen, and on the right, I cut out brown wrapping paper into squares for the days of the month. Then I covered the right side in a lot of polka dots.

For this page, I decided to paint an abstract image of my dog, Tootie. She is my world, and I felt as if she was the perfect choice for this page.

This is the October page from my Art Journal. I painted the background black, and cut out paper to make “eye-balls” as the days for the calendar.
