Promise of Tomorrow

As I look out the window,
I see the sky.

I look out beyond the trees,
and see an ocean.

As I go outside to see
all of Earth’s creatures.

I feel the Sun’s heat
blast my face with warmth.

Among the trees I see a woodpecker
with its crest of feathers as red as blood.

I also see a little bunny with its tail as white as snow,
and its eyes as pink as the gums in your mouth.

Then all of a sudden,
the sky starts to cry.

As I see the Sun go away,
and all the creatures around me run off into the distance,

I know that tomorrow,
I will see the Sun again.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve

I remember on Christmas Eve I just couldn’t go to sleep. I was just so excited to wake up and see all the presents under the tree. A few minutes later I saw my aunt go into the living room and put things into the stockings. Even though I wanted to look I didn’t.
When she left I still could not go to sleep. I tried and tried to, but I just couldn’t. Then all of a sudden I heard something in the living room. So I hurried up and shut my eyes and ended up going to sleep. The next morning I was so excited to see everything under the tree and that I would get to open presents.
That morning we had eaten this breakfast casserole my grandma had made. She didn’t know what she thought of it and neither did I. She is really good at cooking, but I just didn’t no what to say because I didn’t want to hurt her feelings. Mostly why I think I didn’t like it was because of the eggs, I hate eggs!
After breakfast we were going to open our presents and I couldn’t wait. I had gotten all sorts of things for Christmas. I had gotten new clothes, candy, a Bibi gun, and some comfy new house shoes. I was so happy to spend time with family  and get presents no wonder Christmas is my favorite holiday.
After opening presents everyone wanted to go outside and make a snowman. So we got in our warmest clothes and headed for the snow. We had made the biggest snowman ever! We got him a scarf and hat with pine cones for buttons. After we were finished we had made another snowman and this one had hot tamales for his mouth! I had a great Christmas this year and one of my favorites. I  new it would even be better with being with all of my family.

Splash!

When I feel the water splash in my face,
I know we’re here.
I can hear the children,
laugh and play.

As I look around and see the rides,
I smell the Dipping Dots over to my left.
I see my friend,
Sally Sunshine Smith.
She was holding a sea shell,
she said she found it by the snow-cone stand.

I asked her if she wanted to ride with me,
but she said she saw a sunflower.

As I was riding the whirl pool,
I saw another friend,
Berry Burt Bill.
Berry said “My brother Bryce Bart Bill,
got a bad bruise on his back,
and I have to go.”

Then I thought to myself,
I have been here long enough,
and I have to go too!
But first I must feel the water splash in my face!

Mud Fight!

When I was at my grandparents house my grandpa had to go fix the sprinkler for the corn. So my sister and I decided to go with him. While we were driving down the road through the corn, we saw that their were puddles. Right then I knew we were both thinking “MUD FIGHT!”
Then when my grandpa got out of the truck to fix the sprinkler we were heading for the mud. After a 2 minute walk we finally got there, and I said “I am going to run across the mud,” and she said “Okay.” When I first ran across I got stuck then I fell a couple of times, but when my went she fell and got stuck a lot too! It was hilarious!
Then when I was just about to throw a big glob of mud at my sister “PLOP!” the mud fell straight on my head. We couldn’t help ourselves but to laugh and laugh.
After a couple more times of running, slipping, falling, and getting stuck we decided to go back to the truck. Luckily our grandpa was just about finished fixing the sprinkler.
